Common Good Fund launches with successful first close

Developed jointly by Ascension Investment Management (AIM) and Anthos Fund & Asset Management (Anthos), the Common Good Fund was specially created for faith-based professional investors seeking to align their portfolios with their mission, values and fiduciary responsibilities.

Grounded in Catholic Social Teaching and the principles of Mensuram Bonam, the Fund aims to integrate faith-based considerations throughout the investment process while seeking to deliver competitive financial returns alongside measurable social and environmental outcomes, based on a defined framework. 

The investment approach is built around three principles: Call to Engage, Call to Enhance and Call to Exclude, combining active stewardship, targeted impact and values-based exclusions into one integrated investment framework.

Investing in real-world challenges

Through private markets, the Fund seeks exposure to investment opportunities addressing key long-term societal challenges. Its impact framework focuses on five themes: climate, healthcare, education, financial inclusion and affordable housing.
By investing across these themes, the Fund aims to support investment strategies in scalable solutions that may contribute to positive social and environmental outcomes, while pursuing long-term value creation.
